Purge of "all mail" mailbox
Is there a way to purge a mailbox of items older than a certain date and automate it? Havea mailbox that all mail is also delivered to and need to find an automated way to delete items older than say a month .

Hi,
Which version of Exchange are you using? If Exchange 2007 then you can do it with managed content settings.
You can create managed content settings that control how long the items in managed folders (and their subfolders) are retained.

If you are using Exchange 2003 then you can manage the age of mails with mail box management recipient policy.

Hi,
Please understand that Mailbox Manager examines the following MAPI properties to determine whether to process a message. If any messages are more recent than the age limit that is imposed by the Mailbox Manager recipient policy, the message is not processed. Mailbox Manager examines the properties by using the "AND" operator. Therefore, all properties must meet the criteria.
PR_MESSAGE_DELIVERY_TIME
PR_CLIENT_SUBMIT_TIME
PR_LAST_MODIFICATION_TIME
Mailbox Manager verifies that all three dates are older than the threshold that is set for cleaning. If all three date properties are older than the age limit that is imposed by the Mailbox Manager recipient policy, the message is processed.
For your reference:

Thus, I suggest that you use the MFCMapi editor tool to check whether the message should be removed has actually exceeded the age limit and size limit.
